You spent time crafting the perfect connection request. A prospect replied. And then - nothing.
Not because you didn't care. Because you were in back-to-back meetings, or it was 11pm, or you simply forgot to check your inbox. By the time you got back to them, the moment had passed.
This happens to everyone doing LinkedIn outreach at scale. And it's probably costing you more deals than you realize.
The fix isn't checking LinkedIn more often. It's making sure something is always there to keep the conversation going the moment a prospect replies. That's exactly what AI Auto-Reply in We-Connect does.
Most people blame their open rates or their messaging. But the bigger problem is usually what happens after someone replies.
LinkedIn is a real-time communication channel. Prospects who reply are warm - they've engaged, they're curious, they're open. But that window is short. Reply within the hour and you're in a conversation. Reply three days later and you're starting from scratch.
The problem isn't generating interest. It's responding fast enough to turn interest into a meeting.
And when you're running multiple campaigns, managing a full pipeline, and doing everything else your job requires - being that responsive, consistently, for every prospect, is simply not realistic without help.
AI Auto-Reply is We-Connect's feature for handling incoming prospect messages automatically. When a prospect responds to your outreach, AI reads their message and generates a reply grounded in your business context - your company, your offering, your tone.
The replies aren't generic. They're shaped by a Business Snapshot - a profile you set up once that tells AI who you are, what you sell, who you're targeting, and how you want to communicate. The more specific the information you provide, the more relevant and accurate the AI- Auto replies will be.
For a step-by-step walkthrough, see our guide on how to create and optimize a Business Snapshot.

When setting up a campaign in We-Connect, you choose how involved you want to be when prospects write back. There are three options:
Manual AI is off. You write every response yourself. The right choice for high-touch relationships where every word matters.
Co-Pilot AI generates a draft reply every time a prospect responds. It waits in your inbox for you to review, edit if needed, and send with one click.
Autonomous AI reads the incoming message, writes a response, and sends it - automatically, without waiting for you. You receive an email notification so you always know what was sent.
You can switch between all three at any time, even mid-campaign. Whatever you choose takes effect immediately.
The biggest difference between Co-Pilot and Autonomous Mode comes down to one thing: how much control you want over outgoing replies.

Co-Pilot Mode: The Best of Both Worlds
If you've ever stared at a blank reply box wondering what to say, co-pilot mode eliminates that problem entirely. Every time a prospect responds, AI drafts a reply and parks it in your inbox with an "AI draft" badge. You open it, read it, and either send it as-is or make a quick edit.
No blank page. No thinking from scratch. Just a ready reply that you approve in seconds.
You can also filter your inbox to show only AI drafts - which means you can batch-review ten conversations in the time it used to take to write two replies from scratch.
Co-pilot is the right starting mode for almost everyone. It lets you see exactly how AI interprets your business context before you commit to it sending anything automatically. Run it for a week, read the drafts, get comfortable with the quality - then decide if you want to step back further

Autonomous Mode: For When Speed Is Everything
Autonomous mode removes you from the loop - but not entirely.
A prospect replies, AI reads it, writes a response grounded in your Business Snapshot, and sends it - often within minutes. No waiting for you to be at your desk.
You still get a notification email every time AI sends something, so you're never out of the loop. And every AI-sent message is marked with an autonomous icon in the conversation thread, so you can always see exactly what was said.
This mode is built for volume. If you're running campaigns across hundreds of prospects, targeting multiple time zones, or generating leads at a pace where manual follow-up isn't realistic - autonomous mode is what keeps every conversation alive without adding hours to your day.

Here's a scenario that kills more deals than bad messaging: a prospect replies, AI responds, and then... silence. They don't write back. In manual outreach, that conversation is probably dead. In autonomous mode, it doesn't have to be.
You can set up automatic no-response follow-ups - AI sends additional messages if a prospect stops responding after the first AI reply. You control how many (up to 3) and how long to wait between each one.
Example - 3 follow-ups, 2-day gaps:
Most outreach tools let prospects slip through the cracks the moment they go quiet. This closes that gap automatically.

Autonomous mode doesn't mean hands-off forever.
If a specific conversation heats up - a warm lead asking detailed questions, a potential big account, someone who needs a human touch - you can step in without affecting anything else.
Open the conversation, click "Turn off autonomous replies," and that's it. AI stops responding to that prospect. Every other conversation in the campaign keeps running.
It takes ten seconds and you're back in control exactly where you need to be.

None of this works without the right context. AI doesn't automatically know what your company does, who you're selling to, or how you want to come across.
That's where Business Snapshots come in - a profile you create once that tells AI everything it needs to write replies that actually sound like they came from you. Each campaign is assigned a snapshot, and you can create different snapshots for different audiences: enterprise vs. small business, different products, different stages of the funnel.
The more specific the information you provide in your snapshot, the more relevant and on-brand every AI reply will be.

Business Snapshots provide the context behind every AI-generated reply. Learn how to set them up and optimize them here.
Which Mode Should You Start With?
Start with Co-Pilot if: You're new to AI-assisted outreach, managing high-value accounts, or still refining your messaging. Co-Pilot lets you stay in control while you build confidence in the quality.
Switch to Autonomous if: Quality is consistent, volume is high, or you're covering time zones where you can't be online to respond in real time.
Keep Manual for: Senior executives, complex deals, partnerships, or anyone where nuance and judgment matter more than speed.

Can I switch modes after a campaign is already running?
Yes, anytime. Go to campaign Settings, select a different mode, and save. The change applies immediately to all future replies.
Will prospects know AI is replying?
No. AI matches your brand voice based on your Business Snapshot. If someone asks directly, be transparent - but nothing in the message signals it was AI-generated.
What happens to AI drafts if I switch to Autonomous?
They stay in your inbox. They won't be auto-sent - you still need to approve or dismiss them manually.
What if AI goes off-track in a conversation?
Open that conversation and click "Turn off autonomous replies." AI stops for that prospect only. Everything else keeps running.
How do I review what AI has been sending?
Filter your inbox by "Autonomous" to see every conversation where AI has sent a reply. Each AI message is marked with an icon in the thread.
Can I use different Business Snapshots for different campaigns? Yes, but you must choose the snapshot during campaign setup. You can't switch snapshots once a campaign is active, though you can edit the existing one and changes apply immediately.
The prospect who replied this morning is still warm. The one from three days ago probably isn't.
AI Auto-Reply makes sure the gap between reply and response is measured in minutes, not days - whether you're at your desk or not. Start with Co-Pilot, see how it handles your conversations, and scale from there.
